"Fly to Your Future" Job Day

2 June 2018 | As part of a recruitment drive to find skilled technicians, PSA Antwerp recently ran a campaign themed “Fly to your Future”, whereby candidates with the right profile were offered a helicopter flight to one of our Antwerp terminals during a Job Day. For this occasion, also a Straddle Carrier was shipped from one of our terminals to 'het Eilandje' in Antwerp, for visitors to behold.

 

Leading up to the Job Day which was held 27 May 2018, candidates who were keen to participate could submit their resume through the PSA Antwerp website. From all applications, a total of 35 potential staff were shortlisted who could bring a guest to fly to our terminal, accompanied by one of our technicians.

 

Upon arrival at the terminal participants were taken on a private tour, followed by an interview with HR and a second interview with heads of the technical departments. After flying back to the city, matching candidates immediately received a job offer to take back home.

 

Concurrently, the Job Day also featured a fair in front of the PSA head office at the City Port (Eilandje), open to the general public, complete with food, snacks and fun play areas for kids. The overall event saw a strong turnout with a number of people applying for technician jobs as well as other vacancies. A big thanks to all participants, applicants and visitors!
