Alongside the community
At PSA, we firmly believe in the social role we have to play within our local communities. We provide financial and/or logistical support to a variety of social projects, be they large or small. Over the years, we have built mutually beneficial long-term relationships, championing projects close to the hearts of our people.
Numerous projects and organizations are dear to us. Since 2017, we chose to really make a difference through a single social goal: supporting and helping children and youngsters in precarious conditions.
Together, we can make a difference!
CSR Highlights

23 December 2020 | These are bizarre and difficult times for everyone and again during this second Corona wave, the crisis hits us all hard. But within our community there are groups where this crisis is hitting even harder. Many underprivileged families with children are struggling today.
As a company, we think it is important to do our part and give some extra "warmth" in the period leading up to the new year. In line with our Social Corporate Responsibility policy, we decided to support our CSR partners and provide them with masks.
29 April 2020 | The Corona crisis affects us all, both personally and professionally. However, some groups in our society are more affected than others, like families with children living in precarious situations. Within PSA/MPET/ATS we strongly value the importance of contributing to our local community and especially for these minority groups. Thanks to the wife of one of our crane drivers, we came into contact with CAW (Center for General Welfare). They launched a call to action to its network of entrepreneurs to donate second-hand laptops. These will be refurbished, provided with basic software and finally be donated to less privileged children.
3 December 2019 | Our family consists of 3,900 employees. All serious experts, who make sure thousands of containers reach their final destination in time. But many of them, are also actively engaged in welfare organisations, in their private lives. And as a company, we would like to lend them our support. That's why every year we set aside a part of our Corporate Social Responsibility budget to support social projects in which our own employees are actively involved.
28 December 2018 | In the beginning of December, staff from PSA Zeebrugge flew out to 'de Kleine Dennen' in Knokke. Kleine Dennen is an initiative of non-profit association De Patio, which offers accommodation, live-on-you-own training* and context guidance to youngsters in precarious conditions. The entire living area of the youngsters was completely repainted and revamped with brand new furniture.
17 December 2018 | Also this year, Kamiano could count on the support of PSA Antwerp, MPET and ATS. For an entire month, our employees went out to serve food every Wednesday afternoon at the Kamiano homeless shelter in the Kammestraat in Antwerp. In addition, our management also handed over a cheque of 12,000€, enough to provide hot meals for one entire month.
1 October 2018 | September.. The new start of the schoolyear and the perfect opportunity to visit our new CSR partner City Pirates. Thanks to many volunteer actions organized by staff we were able to collect a nice amount of money, which was doubled by PSA/MPET/ATS. Part of the money was invested in office stationery and football equipment for City Pirate students.
1 June 2018 | Both team Legal and HR & Corporate Communication rolled up their sleeves for the youth cell of the OCMW. The living area and city garden were tackled and transformed into a complete metamorphosis. Our heroes were busy with painting brushes, cleaning materials, a hammer and a drilling machine. After a successful day, they got rewarded with a big smile from the youngsters!
