23 November 2023 - PSA Belgium and Daimler Truck BeLux deliver a Belgian first. For the first time, the electrically powered Mercedes-Benz eActros300 truck will transport containers on public roads. "Transporting containers between our terminals is a daily reality," points out Cameron Thorpe, CEO of PSA Belgium. "At PSA Belgium, we’re serious about reducing all of our carbon emissions and the greening of this transport is an important factor.

21 November 2023 - PSA Breakbulk in the Port of Antwerp-Bruges, announced today that it has become the first shipping terminal in Belgium to control visitors’ access to its facilities through biometric facial recognition. PSA Breakbulk installed this new technology, provided by the Ghent based startup NineID to significantly increase security at its facilities and thereby abide by the new stricter ISPS security regulations that recently came into force.

31 October 2023 - What could a social economy enterprise and a steel and general cargo handling specialist possibly have in common? In the case of Stroom maatwerk and PSA Breakbulk, the answer is an enduring and prosperous partnership that has thrived for more than 20 years. For over two decades, the dedicated employees of Stroom maatwerk have been an integral part of PSA Breakbulk's terminal. This remarkable collaboration will be celebrated at an anniversary event on October 31st.

3 October 2023 - Project Emerald, the complete transformation of the Europa Terminal at Quay 869, has reached another significant milestone. On Tuesday, October 3, the concrete was poured for the first container plinth. These plinths distribute the load of stacked containers across the foundation, a crucial step as the containers will soon be stacked 6 high instead of 3.

2 October 2023 - On Monday, the container ship MSC Tessa docked with an impressive draft of 16 meters, setting a new record. The 400-meter-long container giant smoothly arrived at our MPET container terminal in Deurganckdok for the second time.

29 September 2023 - For the 5 th consecutive year, PSA Antwerp has received recognition from the esteemed Asian Freight Logistics & Supply Chain (AFLAS) awards as "Best Container Terminal in Europe". This coveted accolade, presented by the illustrious maritime trade publication Asia Cargo News, serves as a resounding testament to the hard work and dedication of the PSA Antwerp team.

24 September 2023 - On Sunday, September 24, Hapag-Lloyd's "Manila Express" docked at our North Sea Terminal. This megamax ship with a capacity of 23,666 TEU commenced its maiden voyage to Northern Europe on August 7 from Ningbo. The "Manila Express" is one of ten new flagship vessels of Hapag-Lloyd capable of running on LNG and the first in this series to arrive in Northern Europe.

22 september 2023 - As part of their ongoing environmental commitment, PSA Antwerp, MSC PSA European Terminal (MPET), and Antwerp Terminal Services (ATS) are actively participating in the Port Cleanup initiative at the Port of Antwerp-Bruges. The clean-up campaigns are part of Go Green Week, an annual initiative of PSA Group. From September 18th to September 26th, multiple teams of dedicated employees will be on a mission to clear litter from no fewer than five locations, including Park Spoor Noord, the Galgeschoor nature reserve, and the verge of Sint-Antoniusweg.

4 September 2023 - On September 3, 2023, we welcomed the brand-new ONE INFINITY to our North Sea Terminal. It is one of the sister ships of the ONE INNOVATION, which we had the pleasure of receiving just over a month ago. These sea giants, with a capacity of over 24,000 TEU and a length of 400 meters, rank among the largest Megamax container ships in the world.

With this vibrant pink behemoth, we handle an impressive 3,200 containers in just three shifts. Achieving this requires the simultaneous operation of our six largest container cranes.
